Two drunk-driving related cases in Orange County are a firm reminder that drunk driving is never safe. A woman in Garden Grove was recently struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver as she was crossing the street. Another man was arrested in Costa Mesa after leading police on a high-speed chase through southern Orange County. He eventually fled his vehicle and tried to hide in a shower in a Costa Mesa residence. He was allegedly intoxicated.
Regardless of the facts of these particular cases, if you are considering drinking, please do not get behind the wheel. But also keep in mind that if you are arrested for suspicion of drunken driving, you have rights that must be protected. If you are arrested for suspicion of DUI this holiday season—or any time of year—reach out to an experienced criminal defense attorney and assert your constitutional rights.
